I find people I talk to either love or hate cheese with a passion, why does a block of the yellow stuff evoke such emotion? What about it, makes some moan in delight at the mere whiff or others cringe and back away with fingers crossed to ward off the apparently evil and dangerous cheese lying sedately on the bench.
I and the rest of my family find ourselves firmly and passionately in love with cheese and yes as my blog title suggests I do dream of cheese.
Most of my working life has revolved around the dairy gold, and memories of grading superb bries and Camemberts, bitey calcified cheddars and sumptuous creamy blue are enough to make me cry....So now as finances are not what they once were and cheese is not so plentiful or free, I am forced to make my own...and you know what the few I've done have been pretty darn good.
